Feedback requested on the Draft Preliminary Revised (Phase 1 and 2) Program Plan

Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) has now posted the Draft Preliminary Revised (Phase 1 and 2) WEEE Program Plan, available on the OES website: www.ontarioelectronicstewardship.ca/consultation/consultation.html.

This is the first draft of the Revised WEEE Program Plan, and it addresses all elements of the Plan including new obligated materials, Program structure, targets and fees.

Stakeholders are requested to provide comments and feedback on this Draft Preliminary Revised (Phase 1 and 2) Program Plan.


There are a number of ways that stakeholders can participate:

1. Register for the April 30th, 2009 Consultation Workshop / Webcast

Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) is conducting the second of two public consultation sessions pertaining to the ongoing development of Ontario’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Program. In person and online attendees will receive information about the Program development and have the opportunity to ask questions or pose comments.

2. Via online survey

Stewards and stakeholders are invited to provide comments online, using an electronic survey tool. Links to this tool will be available at the OES website on the comments and consultation pages on April 24th. Using this tool, stakeholders will be able to electronically submit comments and questions on specific elements of the document, or as general responses. Users are also encouraged to upload supporting documents in PDF format, Microsoft Word or Excel.
