Reminder: Please Register to Attend March 24 Information Session for Retailers Selling Electronic Products in Ontario
Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) is hosting a second information session for retailers who sell electronic and electrical equipment in Ontario. This is a webcast only event, which will take place on Tuesday, March 24 from 2 to 3 p.m. (EST).
OES will provide similar information to that presented during a March 13 webcast – with details about how Ontario’s new waste diversion program for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If you are a retailer that sells electronic and electrical equipment in Ontario and you did not take part in the March 13 webcast, you are encouraged to participate in this session to learn how the new program will affect you.
OES will distribute to registrants details about how take part in the webcast. Participation information will be sent by email on Monday afternoon.

In this hour-long presentation, the webcast will address:
- What is OES & what does it do?
- Overview of the WEEE program
- What the WEEE program means to retailers & customers
- Opportunities for retailers to participate.
Who Should Attend: All retailers in Ontario that sell any of the materials listed as Phase 1 WEEE are invited to take part in either or both of these two sessions. Retailers of electrical and electronic equipment that are included in future phases are also welcome.
Phase 1 WEEE includes:
- Personal computers (desktop, laptop, notebook, notepad)
- Monitors
- Mice, keyboards, disk drives, etc.
- Printers
- Fax Machines
- Televisions (CRT, LCD, plasma, rear projection)

Register to Attend: Please register online to let us know which session you will join. The day before your chosen session, OES will use the registration information you provide to send you details about how to participate.
About the Presentation OES will advise participants of the details of how to log on to the webcast/webinar two days before each session.
