Briefing Meeting for Recyclers of Waste
Electrical & Electronic Equipment Waste
On August 6, Ontario Electronic Stewardship distributed invitations to participate in a Preliminary Briefing Meeting for potential recyclers of WEEE.
If you would like to participate in this meeting and you haven't registered yet , you are encourated to register now, to ensure that you receive appropriate details concerning how to join the session. Click here to register. Participation details will be sent only to registered participants the day before the meeting (Tuesday, August 19).
This meeting will provide additional information pertaining to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Program Plan which was approved July 10, 2008. The agenda of the meeting will include:
- Program update and timing
- Demonstration of on-line application process for prospective primary WEEE recyclers under the OES program
- Presentation by third party auditor of audit process
- Process to submit questions recyclers may have about the process.
Future Meetings
A second webinar for recyclers will be held after mid-September. (OES will advise of the date shortly ) . OES will also host webinar meetings for reusers this fall (date to be announced) . Please watch the OES website for information on these and all events.
