WEEE Diversion Plan Consultation Workshop and Webcast # 3 scheduled for Thursday, January 24th
Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) will hold the third consultation workshop and webcast on the development of the draft Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Diversion Program Plan on Thursday, January 24th at the Novotel Toronto Centre Hotel, beginning at 10:30 a.m. (EST).
This workshop/webcast is important for companies that are brand owners, assemblers of non branded equipment or first importers of the electrical and electronic products designated under the Waste Diversion Act (see Ministry of the Environment Final Program Request Letter).
Registration—Companies that are potentially obligated under the Act and stakeholders can attend this workshop either in person or on-line by webcast. When you complete the registration form, please ensure you click on the “submit” button at the bottom of the form to send your registration to us. Please register, whether you intend to take part by webcast or in person.
In person—For those who wish to attend the workshop/webcast in person, the location is the Novotel Toronto Centre Hotel, 45 The Esplanade, Toronto (directions: 1 block east of Yonge St., 1 block south of Front St.), Champagne Room, 2nd floor.
By webcast - Details concerning how to log into the webcast will be forwarded to registrants by email on Wednesday, January 23.
Workshop/Webcast Agenda—The chief purpose of this consultation workshop is to present the key components of the Draft Preliminary WEEE Diversion Program Plan and to answer stewards’ and stakeholders’ questions about the draft plan and process.

Draft Preliminary WEEE Diversion Program Plan for Review—OES will post the Draft Preliminary WEEE Diversion Program Plan and the Program Plan Development Consultation Paper (containing the comments received to date) on the OES website (www.ontarioelectronicstewardship.ca) by January 14, 2008. OES will discuss the draft plan in detail at the January 24th consultation meeting/webcast.
