Dear EEE Steward or Remitter:

Date Wednesday March 11th

Who Should Attend
This event is designed to provide information for and answer the questions of Stewards and Remitters of Phase 1 EEE materials. For more information about the Phase 1 materials click on: Designated Materials. To determine if your company is likely to be an obligated Steward under Phase 1 of this program, click on: WEEE Guidebook 1 and the Rules.

In order to update and prepare you to file your first monthly EEE Steward’s Report under the Ontario WEEE program, OES invites you to attend an information session webinar on the Steward’s monthly reporting process. OES is the industry funding organization with responsibility to develop and prepare for implementation of WEEE waste diversion program plan.

Under the WEEE Program
Beginning on April 1st, 2009, Stewards will be required to track the amount of Phase 1 EEE that they supply for use in Ontario.  This first Steward's Report will detail the Phase 1 EEE that each Steward supplied for use in Ontario during the first data period, from April 1 to April 30, 2009.  Stewards will be required to file their first monthly Steward’s Report and pay any applicable fees by May 30, 2009.

Stewards will be required to pay fees in accordance with the program fee schedule which is valid for a 12 month period. This initiates a monthly reporting and payment cycle which will continue for Stewards of EEE.

Please see www.ontarioelectronicstewardship.ca for detailed information about the WEEE program plan for Phase 1 materials. Additional information is also available about materials which will be included in future Phases (currently in development) and for information that pertains specifically to the needs of Stewards (available at www.ontarioelectronicstewardship.ca/stewards/stewards.html).
