OES will be implementing an option for municipalities to use roll-off containers for the collection and transportation of electronic waste from permanent collection sites and from collection events.

Carol Hochu, OES Executive Director presented details about the new Roll-off Collection Program for Events and Municipal Collection Sites at the June 17 Ontario Recycler Workshop (ORW).
This program will enable new and existing collection sites to use roll-off collection bins rather than pallets for incoming materials. OES plans to use this new system for all future events to provide a higher level of efficiency and flexibility. OES was invited to speak at this ORW to present additional information about this important development for OES program collectors and to provide an opportunity for you to discuss it with program representatives.

The ORW is a semi-annual event hosted by the Continuous Improvement Fund (CIF) in which representatives of Ontario's municipal recycling programs share information about best practices in blue box recycling.
